Durable Hacienda
Challenge:
The owners of Rancho Sahuarita wanted the warmth and charm of a Spanish Colonial hacienda combined with industrial-strength durability. They liked the look of furniture hand-carved by Mexican artisans, but not the soft pine wood.
Solution:
Liz Ryan designed and proportioned every piece of furniture, every wood carving to fit the scale of the clubhouse. Quality hardwoods were purchased in the Northwest and shipped to Mexico, where each piece in the collection was carved by hand. Final staining and upholstery were done in Arizona with rich durable fabrics that contributed to the timeless feeling of gracious hospitality.
