Challenge:
Time and technology had taken a toll on the client’s family room. A new flat screen TV and other electronics would dominate the small fireplace. What to do?

Solution:
Liz Ryan used stone, metal and wood for dramatic impact, creating a stunning yet functional solution for today’s media needs. The central fireplace design is flanked by custom wood cabinetry. The flat-screen TV is behind pocket doors and components are out of sight. Resurfaced with tumbled travertine and accented with a hand-crafted metal mantle, the fireplace now provides the unifying strength and integrity the original lacked.
