Moroccan Bath

Challenge:
Within her understated home, the client wanted to turn a plain-Jane bathroom into an intimate space that evoked her passion for Moroccan architecture.

Solution:
Liz Ryan researched a variety of hand-glazed tile shapes that would mesh together in design and color palette to become a tapestry of tile, wrapping around all four walls nearly to the ceiling. She sent prototypes to the three tile manufacturers so they could precisely match the glazes for a flawless color transition. The locally manufactured mesquite vanity and copper vessel sink add warmth and texture. The arabesque mirror is a traditional Moroccan motif.
