Quiet Retreat

Challenge:
The client envisioned a space that was both sophisticated and casual, where friends and family could escape from the ever-present televisions, computers and other electronics.

Solution:
Liz Ryan introduced elements of the past in this strong contemporary home to create a calming, quiet retreat. Retro-inspired chairs with tufted backs and chrome legs are softened with rich olive velvet. A leather club chair encourages lingering and reading. The classic mantle and curved legs of the glass table recall another era and a slower pace.
