We are going to do this in a series.  First up on the agenda - Yellow tones!

YELLOW

A color known to spark cheerfulness & high energy.  Too bright of yellow, such as those on traffic signs are real attention grabbers and can actually be straining on the eyes if overused.  And studies have shown that it can make babies cry.  That being said, yellow can still be fun and cheerful when used in small amounts.

YELLOW-ORANGE

Will warm up any space & is very welcoming.  Often used in areas where gathering takes place and food is served, such as kitchens or dining rooms.

YELLOW-GREEN

Yellow Green tones are often associated with growth and nature.  As designers, we tend to use this color often because it is calming and we find that most people enjoy the color.  LRD (Liz Ryan Design)likes it so much it has become our honorary "office color".  It can be found on our website home page, business cards, postcards, etc...  Yellow Green is also a very good gender neutral color.  When used with turquoise it becomes a little more masculine, when used with pink it becomes feminine.
